What does success mean?

Let us start with a quote by Paulo Coelho – What is success? It is being able to go to bed each night with your soul at peace

I’ve been thinking a lot about what success really means, and I wanted to share my thoughts with you because, honestly, I think it’s something that gets misunderstood all the time. People often think that success is this big, flashy thing—like landing a high-paying job, winning a championship, or buying a dream house. While those things are awesome, I don’t think they’re the heart of success. To me, success is way more personal and kind of quiet in its own way. Read here: How can i achieve my dream?

It’s not just about the end result, but about the journey. Success, for me, is feeling proud of the small wins—the things that no one else might notice. It’s waking up every day and doing your best, even if it’s not perfect. It’s about sticking to your goals and pushing through when things get tough, not because you want to prove something to someone else, but because you believe in what you’re doing. Success is finding that sense of purpose, even if no one else fully gets it.

Another thing I realized is that success doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. You might have your own definition, just like I have mine. Maybe for you, it’s about creating something meaningful, helping others, or living a peaceful life without all the chaos. I think we sometimes get caught up in comparing ourselves to others, but I’ve learned that it’s a waste of time. What works for someone else doesn’t have to work for you. Success is about being true to yourself and following your own path, even if it’s different from the norm.

And, dude, failure plays a big part in success too. It’s not the opposite; it’s part of the whole deal. Every time you mess up or hit a roadblock, you’re learning something valuable. To me, those “failures” are actually stepping stones that build character. So, success isn’t about avoiding mistakes—it’s about getting back up, learning from them, and staying focused on your vision.

What really matters is that you’re moving forward at your own pace, making progress that feels right for you. Success isn’t just the shiny moments—it’s the day-to-day consistency, the grit, and the little steps that add up over time. It’s the satisfaction of knowing that you’re working on something that matters, even if it’s not visible to everyone else. And honestly, it’s about finding peace with where you are, and not feeling like you’re always racing to “become” something else.

So yeah, in my eyes, success is all about staying true to yourself, pushing forward, and being proud of what you’re doing—even if it’s just one small thing at a time. And if you’re happy with the person you’re becoming along the way, I’d say that’s the real success.
